What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute strategic public relations plans for a diverse range of clients.
• Draft and edit press releases, op-eds, newsletters, and other communications materials.
• Support media relations efforts, including pitching stories, managing press inquiries, and coordinating interviews.
• Monitor news coverage, track media placements, and analyze PR campaign results.
• Assist with event coordination and community outreach initiatives.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while providing high-level client service.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to team brainstorms and strategy sessions.

What We’re Looking For

• 1-3 years of PR agency or comparable experience
• Strong writing skills, particularly in crafting press materials and client communications
• Media relations experience, including pitching and working with reporters
• A good understanding of local and national current affairs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
• Familiarity with PR and collaboration tools such as Cision, Critical Mention, PR Newswire, Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive), and Canva
• Social media experience, with working knowledge of platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X.
• A valid Hawai‘i driver’s license and the ability to attend in-person meetings
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset and ability to juggle multiple tasks
