Job Description:


The Accounts Receivable Accountant will focus primarily on Accounts Receivable, Cash Applications, and general accounting duties. You'll play a key role in preparing journal entries, performing revenue analysis, and supporting the month-end close process. The ideal candidate will be someone with a strong AR background who is eager to transition into a full-time accounting role.


Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries in the accounting system.
• Conduct monthly revenue margin analysis and coordinate with department heads for accuracy.
• Reconcile balance sheets and review them with the senior accountant and controller.
• Analyze budget variances and prepare reports.
• Process Accounts Receivable and invoicing for client events.
• Code and post AR invoices into the billing system.
• Manage daily deposits, batch reconciliations, and credit card transactions.
• Lead collection efforts for past-due accounts and resolve AR discrepancies.
• Ensure full compliance with PCI guidelines.
• Handle credit card processing for ancillary services from other departments.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience in Accounts Receivable and Cash Applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or 3-5 years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Desire to grow into an accounting role and commit long-term.

Additional Details:

• Full-time, permanent position.
• On-site work, 5 days a week in Center City, Philadelphia.
• Standard hours: 9 AM - 5 PM, with occasional remote work during evenings or weekends.
