Job Title: Accountant
Company: Pepsi MidAmerica
Location: Marion, IL
Pay: $50,000–$60,000 per year (based on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Weekly Pay

Pepsi MidAmerica is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Accounting Department. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in financial statement preparation, monthly closings, and budget support for one of the nation’s most respected independent Pepsi bottlers.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

• Prepare and review financial statements for designated departments

• Create and post monthly journal entries as part of the closing process

• Reconcile assigned general ledger and sub-ledger accounts

• Research discrepancies and post adjustments as needed

• Assist departments in preparing operating and capital budgets

• Maintain and oversee departmental checkbooks

• Research variances between actual and budgeted figures

• Meet regularly with department leaders to review performance and financial updates

• Assist with audits including financial, benefit plans, workers’ compensation, and tax filings

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

• 3–5 years of accounting experience preferred

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Strong organizational and communication abilities
