Job Description
We are seeking a talented and forward-thinking Architectural Designer with 4-8 years of professional experience to join our New York City studio. We are particularly interested in designers who bring curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation for generative and iterative processes .
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design and development of projects from concept through construction documentation
- Conduct precedent studies, urban and environmental research, and contextual analysis to inform design direction
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop compelling design narratives and presentations
- Translate conceptual design ideas into thoughtful, buildable solutions using Revit/BIM workflows
- Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and coordination with consultants
- Explore emerging tools and techniques in generative design, parametrics, or digital workflows to push design innovation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience, with a portfolio of work on institutional, higher-ed, civic, or cultural projects
- Strong proficiency in Revit and BIM-based project delivery
- Demonstrated experience in early-phase design, ideation, and planning
- Passion for research, precedent studies, and context-informed design strategies
- Familiarity with generative design tools (such as Rhino/Grasshopper, Dynamo, or similar) is highly desirable
- Excellent design, visualization, and drawing skills
