Design art activities and adaptations according to students' developmental abilities that promote engagement for MSA upper school students ages 8-21. Push into classrooms to host structured art groups for students ages 8-21. Will lead and co-lead groups at the discretion of the Senior Creative Arts Therapist. Provide individual art therapy sessions for students at the discretion of the Senior Creative Arts Therapist. Write weekly student progress notes and semi-annual student progress reports. Attend daily enrichment meetings and team meetings when appropriate. Weekly supervision with the Creative Arts Therapy Coordinator. Collaborate with teachers, TAs, related service providers, music therapist, and adaptive physical education provider to ensure a team approach. Collaborate with leadership on school-wide assemblies including holidays and special events. Display and maintain student art work within the school.
This is an unpaid internship opportunity that is only open to current students. The internship may be able to satisfy course credit if approved by the student's institution of learning.
