Assistant Pastry Chef , to join DO & CO. If this, is you, we want to hear from you.
What you will do: Assistant Pastry Chef create high quality pastry items with the standard recipes and presentations to maintain quality standards and consistency of product. Baking traditional confectionary and assist in production. Maintain highest cleanliness and hygiene standard in the pastry and bakery section.

A day as an Assistant Pastry Chef: - Assist Pastry Chef in day-to-day operation and be the point of contact in his/her absence. Bake and prepare pastry items according to specification/recipe.
- Monitor wastage and complete assigned tasks within the given time to meet strict deadlines.
- Motivate the team and ensure all work areas are always clean. Participate in on-job training and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook.
- Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team.
- Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations.
- Store ingredients and food items according to food safety standards and follow the guidance of the executive or pastry chef.
- Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation.
Who you are: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pastry/Bakery preferably within a large production volume unit.
- Knowledge of baking ingredients, measuring techniques, mixing methods, kitchen equipment, and baking times.
- Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or relevant field is desirable.
