Job Summary:
The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice in the College of Liberal Arts, the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.
In accordance with USCIS regulations, successful applicants must be legally able to accept work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Essential Duties:
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in criminology and criminal justice, expanding knowledge in the field by conducting research, and engaging in service to the department, university, and discipline.
Required Qualifications:
A PhD in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Forensic Science, or related field is required. Applicants with a JD alone will not be considered. Candidates must provide evidence of excellence in research, teaching, and service—as well as potential for, or record of, funded research activity.
Preferred Qualifications:
The area of specialization if open. Preference will be given to applicants with evidence of external grant activity. Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
