Overdrive is looking for a BI Manager/Director. The right candidate will have the opportunity to help grow the business intelligence department within Overdrive Interactive by bringing forward an expertise in the strategy and implementation of data-driven storytelling for our wide array of clients. They will help lead and grow a team of developers and engineers as we expand our offerings into the future.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders in multiple departments to define a long-term vision to expand a multi-tiered offering from conception to deployment and measurement
  • Work with potential and current clients to understand, anticipate, and respond to current and future BI requirements
  • Lead a small, agile team of engineers and 3 rd party development partners
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and identify requirements for enhancements to existing systems
  • Ownership of relationships with key external 3 rd party vendors, consultants, and engineering firms
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies that have a positive impact on the analytics team
  • Assist in implementing BI apps and tool sets
  • Translate business needs to technical specifications and documentation
  • Work with your team to design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g., reporting tools)
  • Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g., SiSense, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Support the build out of the Data Warehouse as well as Data Marts
  • Create and oversee the creation of tools to store data (e.g., Supermetrics, Five Tran)
  • Oversee and assist in unit testing and troubleshooting
  • Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of creating physical and logical models in assisting data warehousing (Big Query, Snowflake)
  • Setting standards and best practices
  • Design and assist in deployment of solutions that are documented, scalable and easily maintained
  • Minimum of 5 years in Data Modeling tools and practices
  • 6 years experience with BI / Data Visualization tools (Power BI, SiSense, Tableau, Google Data Studio)
  • Excellent to expert with ETL tools
  • Experience with embedding analytics & UI/UX a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL
  • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills.
