Job Description

Position: Business Development Manager - Irrigation District

Location: Colorado – For the right individual UT, WY and NE will be considered)

Irrigation company selling integrated water solution management systems with strong presence in the irrigation sector is hiring an individual who can sell directly into the irrigation districts of Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Utah.

Business Development Manager's purpose will be to drive growth in the rocky moutain irrigation sector (districts, growers and engineering firms) by selling tailored solutions for irrigation management.

The individual will lead consultative sales efforts and create new market opportunities by engaging key stakeholders to deliver sustainable and value-driven outcomes.

Individual must have water infrastructure sales experience into these markets. They should also have an engineering / technical degree, where they can roll up the sleeves.

Responsibilities

· Responsible for the sales a ctivities of the company’s irrigation solutions into the territory’s irrigation districts, growers and with engineering companies.

· Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities

· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and customers

· Responsible for revenue growth by developing and executing sales strategies

· Maintain and report on activities, pipeline development, and market feedback

· Expand the company's presence by keeping abreast of trends, competitor activities and customer pain points

  • Lead the design and scoping of engineering solutions
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and technical demonstrations
  • Extensive travels within territory

Education and Experience

· BA in an engineering or technical discipline and/or equivalent experience.

·3-5 years in a similar role with strong technical familiarity in irrigation.

· MUST have sold into the target market (irrigation districts, growers, engineering)

· Demonstrate strong sales experience

· Experience in consultative sales approach

· MUST have a strong job tenure
