Job Summary

Medical Assistant Program Instructor


This is an opportunity to teach adults during designated morning and/or evenings, 1-3 days a week/up to 18 hours a week, depending upon location/assignment, see possible partner locations listed below. Pay for this opportunity is based on the Adult Education Hourly Salary Schedule. Positions are available based upon need. Possessing skills and/or teaching, training, curriculum development or supervisory experiences that might apply to teaching adults is desirable.


**Hourly Adult Education Teaching Opportunities are contingent upon sufficient enrollment each semester and continued funding**

Requirements / Qualifications

1. Credential

2. License and/or Certificates
   
   1. Current Physician or Podiatrist license.
      
   2. Physician Assistant, Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse license.
      
   3. California Medical Assistant certificate.
3. Proof of high school graduation
   
   1. Please submit high school diploma or official transcripts showing completion of a baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited college or university.
   2. Out of country transcripts may be submitted along with an evaluation from an agency approved by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. For a list of approved evaluating agencies please, click here.

   1. Three letters of recommendation signed and dated within the last 3 years.
   2. Acceptable signatures include original wet signatures, Adobe or DocuSign electronic signatures.
