As a cashier, you’ll provide friendly customer service while facilitating our patrons' transactions in our store. You’ll scan products accurately at check out and will be expected to handle different forms of money like cash, coins, debit or credit cards, mobile payments, and checks. You’ll also assist our customers by providing change if necessary, honoring coupons, and bagging items.

Duties & Responsibilities 

1. Greet customers with a smile
2. Handle cash at the checkout counter
3. Process payments and complete customer transactions
4. Give full attention to customers and scan products accurately
5. Address customers complaints and answer questions if any
6. Count money in cash drawers at the start and end of shift
7. Make sure there is enough change in the cash drawers
8. Issue receipts, refunds, credits, and change outstanding to customers
9. Bag, box, or wrap products at the time of checkout for the customers
10. Maintain clean and spotless checkout counters for the customers

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Maintain a friendly and helpful personality for our valued customers
3. Good communication skills
4. Ability to work with equipment like cash registers, scanners, and credit card machines
5. Efficient with strong attention to detail
6. Ability to provide change, a basic understanding of math
7. Maintain a professional and presentable appearance 

Requirements

1. Ability to use computers and other technical systems required to perform job functions.
2. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
3. Willing to help out in other areas of the store, where and when needed
4. Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
