*POSITION SUMMARY*:
Our Retail Delivery Drivers are responsible for delivering Buchheit’s WOW customer experience by safely loading, delivering, and unloading Buchheit Retail store merchandise, according to the loading slip, to the customer's location.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Inspect and safely operate Retail Store Delivery vehicle.
* Adhere to DOT/FMCSA and OSHA regulations and company policies.
* Receive, record, and route customer orders/changes as appropriate.
* Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves.
* Load materials onto vehicles or trailers.
* Secure cargo to prevent shifting/damage in transit.
* Deliver to customer at construction sites, personal homes, farms, etc.
* May operate forklift or industrial truck to move merchandise and materials.
* Adhere to Loss Prevention, inventory control, and compliance procedures.
* Maintain Safety awareness for hazards to employees or customers.
* Effectively communicate with customers, team members and managers.
* Demonstrate initiative and effective problem-solving skills.
* Work in a fast-paced environment.
* Additional duties, as assigned
*REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Class A or B CDL with at least 1-year verifiable experience and a SAFE driving history.
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:*
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
