Chief Financial Offer
Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this role is to direct and manage the organization's accounting operations, financial activities, and administrative systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Directly prepare all financial reports, including budgets, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and reports to governmental agencies.
  • Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing and administrative system.
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and investment transactions, preparing reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry best practices, and state and federal regulations.
  • Assist and oversee annual financial and 401(k) reviews, working with external third-party administrators and auditors.
  • Manage the investment of funds and cash management, maintaining relationships with bankers.
  • Facilitate and oversee support for financial and administrative systems and applications, ensuring effective user support.
  • Ensure projects and tasks are completed within specifications, on time, and within budget.
  • Review contracts, agreements, and business legal documents for validity and compliance.
  • Engage and consult with legal and professional support when required.
  • Manage product pricing and margins according to organizational processes and procedures.
  • Upgrade, implement, and test the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Compare sales profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses, making necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management to coordinate planning and establish priorities.

  • Proficiency in database and accounting computer application systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain budgets and forecasts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Power BI and pivot tables.
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Ability to comply with safety policies, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Maintain a safe, neat, and orderly work area.

Education / Experience / License:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in financial management within a manufacturing industry required.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Process industry experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with no major driving violations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands and fingers; handle and feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Work Environment:

  • This position operates in an office setting. The noise level is usually moderate.

Work Schedule:

  • This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, first shift. Adjustments to this schedule may be required as necessary.
