We are growing commercial concrete contractor that has proudly served the Greater Tampa Bay area for several years. We are built on a foundation of quality, integrity, and teamwork. We believe that our success comes from our people, and we've cultivated a culture that values family, collaboration, and a shared commitment to getting the job done right. We aren't just colleagues; we are a team that enjoys working together to build lasting projects and relationships. As we expand, we are looking for a key individual to join our dedicated team and grow with us.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Concrete Estimator / Project Manager to play a crucial role in our company's success. This is a unique hybrid position that combines the analytical challenge of estimating with the hands-on leadership of project management. You will be responsible for bidding on new commercial concrete projects and then overseeing them from Pre-bid to award to the start of the project.

This role offers a flexible work environment, blending time in our office, work-from-home opportunities, and essential on-site management to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating:

Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for commercial concrete projects.

Perform detailed quantity take-offs for concrete, rebar, formwork, and other related materials.

Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes.

Develop comprehensive bid proposals and presentations for clients.

Identify potential risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.

Maintain relationships with general contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Project Management:

Manage awarded projects from pre-construction through to the start of the project.

Develop project schedules, budgets, and plans.

Coordinate with field superintendents, crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns during the bidding process.

Conduct site visits for pre-bid meetings.

Process change orders, RFIs, and submittals.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete construction, with a strong focus on estimating and project management.

Expertise in estimating commercial concrete projects is a significant plus.

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

Strong understanding of concrete construction methods, materials, and costs.

Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Experience with estimating software is preferred. (We use ProEst, but experience with this specific software is not required – we are happy to train the right person). We have used Planswift in the past.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the team and clients.

A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites throughout the Tampa Bay area.

What We Offer

Competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

A positive, team-oriented work environment that values work-life balance.

A flexible hybrid work model combining in-office collaboration, remote work, and on-site responsibilities.

How to Apply

If you are a motivated professional with a passion for the concrete industry and want to join a company that feels like family, we encourage you to apply! Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience.

A background check will be required.

Flexible work from home options available.
