• Ensure correct formula preparation according to the prescription following quality assurance guidelines
• Educating patients: Informing patients and clients on how to use the compounded medications 
• Following safety procedures: Maintaining a sterile environment, following gowning procedures, and ensuring equipment is validated 
• Mixing ingredients: Creating specific formulations of medications for patients when available drugs don't meet their needs 
• Documenting: Recording compounding procedures, lot and expiry of ingredients, and other relevant information
