Position : Director of Restaurant Operations
Location : Hybrid Remote – Primarily remote, with one in-office day per week (NY, NY)
Reports To : CEO
Salary : $70,000–$90,000/year + Performance Bonuses
Employment Type : Full-Time

FT95 is a dynamic private equity group specializing in acquiring and growing businesses across multiple sectors. Our Hospitality Division focuses on acquiring and optimizing a portfolio of thriving restaurant operations. We are dedicated to creating operational excellence, empowering teams, and driving profitability. To support our rapid growth, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Director of Restaurant Operations to lead and scale our restaurant portfolio.

The Director of Restaurant Operations will oversee the operations of all restaurant locations within FT95’s hospitality division, ensuring smooth transitions for acquisitions, driving efficiency, and building a culture of excellence across the portfolio. This person will be responsible for monitoring day-to-day restaurant operations, identifying inefficiencies, and designing a unified system of operations for the entire portfolio. While our new office is built, this is temporarily a hybrid role, primarily remote with one in-office day per week for strategic team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily operations across all restaurant locations, ensuring alignment with FT95’s standards and policies.
  • Check on and evaluate day-to-day restaurant operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Develop and implement a unified system of operations, including SOPs, reporting protocols, and best practices across all locations.
  • Lead the integration of newly acquired restaurants, including system implementation and staff onboarding.

Team Development

  • Provide leadership and guidance to General Managers (GMs) across all locations, driving performance and accountability.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure consistency and operational excellence.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative culture that aligns with FT95’s values.

Performance Management

  • Monitor key performance metrics (e.g., labor costs, food costs, customer satisfaction) and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to track and manage operational expenses, ensuring profitability targets are met.

Reporting and Communication

  • Ensure weekly reports from GMs are completed and reviewed for actionable insights.
  • Provide regular updates to FT95 leadership on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Lead in-office strategy sessions with the CEO and admin team once a week.

Travel and Onsite Oversight

  • Conduct regular site visits to restaurant locations to evaluate operations, employee performance, and customer experience.
  • Resolve operational challenges and implement process improvements during site visits.

Process Optimization

  • Design and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency across the portfolio.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve performance.

Qualifications

Required :

  • 5+ years of experience in restaurant or hospitality operations, including multi-location oversight.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and manage under high-pressure conditions.
  • Expertise in restaurant workflows, financial management, and operational tools (e.g., Clover POS, 7shifts, QuickBooks, Gusto).
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Willingness to travel (20–30%) for site visits and operational oversight.

Preferred :

  • Experience with restaurant acquisitions or integration is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with process improvement frameworks and project management tools.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary : $70,000–$90,000/year, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Performance Bonuses : Up to 15% of annual salary, tied to key performance indicators.
