Job Description:
National plaintiffs’ firm seeking a Discovery – Law and Motion Attorney motivated to help those injured as a result of corporate misconduct for our St. Louis, MO office.
These cases are complex, fast paced, and involve numerous defendants with substantial settlements and verdicts. We offer a collaborative, open-door environment where we work together to effectively advocate for our clients. In order to foster and maintain this environment, this is an in-office position.
The Discovery – Law and Motion Attorney position focuses on research, writing, and courtroom argument. Responsibilities of the position include drafting motions for, and oppositions to, summary judgment, demurrers, jurisdictional challenges, motions in limine, as well as a variety of discovery motions. A critical and creative legal mind is required, as is an eye for detail and the ability to work with speed. A record of successful oral advocacy in the courtroom is preferred.
Qualifications:
J.D. from ABA accredited institution and admission to the Missouri and/or Illinois bar;
Excellent legal research and writing abilities;
Ability to work as an individual and as a part of a team on behalf of injured clients;
Ability to work under a deadline in a fast-paced environment;
Commitment to plaintiff-side work.
