Description:
Drill Out Operator II is responsible for conducting drill out operations in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves overseeing and maintaining testing equipment, collecting data, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Models’ professionalism from proper use of PPE, integration of ‘living’ JSAs and checklists.
- Possesses detailed knowledge of best practices and expert situational awareness of pad operations.
- Capable of independently supporting frac, drill out, flowback, and production operations.
- Can operate, fix, or construct safe and resourceful workarounds for manifold, plug catcher, SKO, line heater, and low/high-pressure separator.
- Ensures proper execution of all field maintenance associated with flowback equipment.
- Identifies ‘teachable moments’ and presents information accurately, clearly, and concisely, in line with Covenant best practices.
- Drives high standards that signify significant experience in the service line.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
- Drill Out Operations: Conduct routine well testing, including production, flow, and pressure tests, ensuring accurate data collection. Capable of identifying and correcting problems on site (including maintenance) Can effectively instruct, ensuring SSE through Op II meet or exceed?their expectations and knowledge base.
- Equipment Management: Operate and maintain Drill out equipment, including separators, flow meters, and pressure gauges. Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs as needed. Expert manifold operator, plug catcher, SKO, Line Heater, and separator operator
- Data Collection & Reporting: Collect and analyze data from testing operations, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting to supervisory staff.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, participating in safety training and meetings to ensure a safe working environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other field personnel and engineering teams to coordinate testing schedules and resolve operational issues.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of data collected by following standard operating procedures and best practices in testing methods. Fully understands customer downhole goals and associated impacts from flowback operator decisions and actions.
- Field Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and repair of Drill Out equipment and tools.
Physical & Safety Requirements
- Requires operation of heavy equipment.
- Requires employee to stand for up to 100% of the time.
- Requires employees to climb ladders or stairs to inspect, repair, and paint equipment.
- Must be able to lift and/or move 50-100LBS pounds.??
- High noise environment (>85dbA) will occur with ear protection.
- This position requires working in outdoor environment consisting of wet, and/or humid conditions as well as extreme heat and extreme cold.
- Requires employees to climb heights of at least 10 feet moving and maintaining self in different positions—stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and small spaces.
- Must wear all required PPE, including fire-retardant clothing, hard hats, face shields, hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.?
