Pittsburgh CLO is a not-for-profit cultural organization dedicated to the preservation, creation and promotion of the American musical theater art form, the furnishing of arts education and providing outreach and meaningful community service opportunities in Western Pennsylvania and throughout the United States.
The Pittsburgh CLO, hailed as one of the nation’s premier regional theaters, is seeking a college aged student for our EDUCATION – SUMMER CAMP DESIGN AND ARTIST Internship – Downtown Location .

End Date: 8/ 8/2025
Approx. Hours per week: 35
# of Positions: 1

Assist the CLO Academy staff with its Summer Camp performances. Assist the Directors, Music Directors and Choreographers as necessary. Camp meets Monday – Friday. Camp location is at the CLO Academy of Musical Theater, located in downtown Pittsburgh. Must be in attendance for all end of camp performances on Friday’s. 

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Design/paint/build scenery.
  • Collect props with the assistance of Education interns and work study students.
  • Meet with all Directors to discuss set design prior to the start of each camp. Ability to make suggestions that work best for the space.
  • Supervise work study students who will assist with painting and building.
  • Set up and Strike set for each camp performance. Completed set should be onstage the week of the show.
  • Camp hours: flexible
  • Ability to run a light board is recommended.
Requirements:
  • Educational clearances are required.
  • Experience supervising children ages 8– 16 years old.
  • Superior multi-tasking skills recommended.
  • Access to a vehicle. 

     
Compensation and perks include pay at $7.25 per hour and tickets to each performance.
