Job Description

A unique opportunity is available for an experienced Audiologist specializing in K-12 education. This role is set in Tacoma, WA, where you will provide essential support and services to students, enhancing their auditory and communicative needs within the school environment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification in Audiology.
  • Masters degree in Audiology or related field.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly in K-12 schools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, parents, and other professionals.
  • Knowledge of hearing disorders and audiological assessments and interventions.

Location:

  • Tacoma, WA (On-site only)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audiological assessments and evaluations for students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment results.
  • Provide audiological services and support to students in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Monitor and maintain audiology equipment and resources in the school.
  • Offer guidance and resources to families regarding hearing loss and related challenges.
