Lincoln County School District is seeking candidates with outstanding leadership skills for the position of elementary school principal, with an emphasis on instructional leadership. This position is located at Taft Elementary School (Grades 3-6) in Lincoln City. APPLY ONLINE: Application Link REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Oregon Administrative Licensure (or be able to obtain license) Master's degree in Education or School Leadership At least three years of successful experience in public elementary school administration and supervision Three years of relevant elementary leadership role required; i.e. Department Chair, Lead Teacher, or Senior Teacher Commitment to working with students from minority and/or lower income backgrounds Promote a widely shared institutional belief that every child deserves and can have expert instruction and that all teachers must be advocates for students Hold high academic and behavioral expectations for all students Must be able to lead students to high levels of academics with students coming from low income families Consistently seek and share best practices as an active and effective participant that contributes to a Professional Learning Community Manage disciplinary actions, dress code, and oversee suspensions and expulsions for all students Assist with the instructional leadership to ensure the success of the school and the implementation of a positive school culture Regularly observe classroom instruction of assigned teachers monitoring the effectiveness and implementation of driving state standards to foster student learning through research-based curriculum PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Successful experience in public school administration and supervision Skills in working with diverse populations of students PERSONAL TRAITS Strong instructional leader Passion for the work Works alongside staff, approachable and complimentary TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Salary Range (based on 2024-2025 salary schedule): $125,424 Contract: 225-day contract between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026.
