About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Human Resources to lead and direct the HR department in all its operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of HR activities, including but not limited to, planning, hiring, training, supervising, and mentoring HR staff. This role also involves ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local HR regulations, as well as providing guidance on recruitment, employment, compensation, benefits, and HR policy creation and enforcement. The Executive Director will serve as a key resource for campus administration and personnel, fostering a collaborative approach to HR functions, and supporting the strategic plan of the institution. Applicants for the Executive Director of Human Resources position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in HR, public administration, business administration, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 6 years' experience in HR administration is required, with a preference for those with experience in higher education. The role demands a comprehensive knowledge of university administration, state and federal employment regulations, and personnel administration practices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in budgeting, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience in managing a budget. Strong communication skills, the ability to build effective working relationships, and experience in employee relations and grievance management are essential. The Executive Director will also be expected to represent the HR department at various meetings and associations.
