Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be part of the technical support department, providing essential services to clients. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: Boston, Massachusetts

Pay Range: $83,000 - $110,000

What's the Job?

• Provide customers with maintenance, repair, and installation assistance for CNC machine tools, both on location and via telephone.

• Create and update documentation of technical information, generating and analyzing ongoing and ad-hoc special reports related to service.

• Assist and train customer service engineers on the installation and maintenance of newer product lines.

• Establish and build exemplary communication and customer service relationships with clients.

• Manage challenging customer situations positively and respond promptly to customer needs.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a technical field preferred.

• 3-5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machine tools.

• Experience with various CNC machines, including Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and/or Siemens controls is a plus.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.

• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams.
