Job Description

The Finance and Accounting Intern will have the opportunity to work with the Accounting team. This individual will gain broad exposure to the company and will be assisting in the month-end close process, completing account reconciliations, learning and executing payment processing, developing and implementing a process improvement, and preparing financial analysis and management reporting. This curious individual will have the opportunity to experience a broad range of financial processes and expand their knowledge of potential financial career paths.

This is a Summer Internship that would run for 10+ weeks and has flexible start and end dates. To facilitate training and development, this internship is expected to be completed in-person at Actus's Eden Prairie, MN office.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Participate in the month-end close process preparing journal entries and account reconciliations learning key accounting responsibilities and executing on critical internal control functions.
• Perform invoice processing, learning fundamentals of accounts payable, reconcile statements with vendors
• Assist in development, implementation and testing of a process improvement project
• Produce core financial reports for the Actus leadership team and participate in assigned financial analysis projects
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Working towards a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related fields
• Completed Intermediate Accounting or equivalent coursework by Summer 2025
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel
• Curious - proactively seeks to learn and grow
• Experience solving problems as part of a team
• Effective communicator demonstrating willingness to build relationships and ask questions

The starting hourly range for this position is $18.00 USD. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to education, skill set and depth of experience.
