Job Title: Food Safety Specialist
Job Type: W2 Contract – 6 months
Location: Lewisburg, OH
Schedule: M – F, 7:30am to 4:00pm
Pay Rate: $28 / hour
Position Overview:
The Food Safety Quality Associate Coordinator supports internal collaboration and compliance efforts across all food safety and quality programs. This role ensures alignment with company policies, standards, and customer specifications while contributing to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with internal coordination of food safety, quality, and regulatory (FSQR) policies, standards, and trainings.
• Perform inspections of finished or in-process goods, analyze data, and identify trends in defects or non-conformities.
• Support root cause analysis for quality issues and assist with corrective and preventive action plans.
• Help manage FSQR functions including audit readiness, continuous improvement projects, and customer compliance.
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of food safety training and implementation of new procedures.
• Assist in developing and scheduling related training programs.
• Support coordination of regulatory compliance, laboratory testing, food/feed safety, and quality programs to meet customer and government requirements.
• Approve final production to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Participate in customer audits, initiatives, and follow-ups.
• Handle moderately complex issues independently and escalate complex issues to appropriate staff.
