Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level 3 Forklift Operator to join our team. The Level 3 Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating advanced forklifts and material handling equipment in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment. This role requires a high level of expertise in forklift operations, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex lifting and moving tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Forklift Operation:

  • Operate high-capacity forklifts, including reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and narrow-aisle forklifts, to handle a variety of materials and products.
  • Perform complex lifting and maneuvering tasks, including stacking and retrieving products at various heights and navigating narrow aisles.
  • Ensure precise placement and retrieval of goods to maximize space utilization and minimize damage.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to forklift operation and material handling.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition.
  • Follow proper procedures for securing loads, using safety equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on forklifts, including checking fluid levels, cleaning, and minor adjustments.
  • Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team for prompt repair.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.

Inventory Management:

  • Assist with inventory control by accurately recording and tracking the movement of goods.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies or issues to the inventory manager.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Training and Supervision:

  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced forklift operators, sharing best practices and safety protocols.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of other operators, providing feedback and support as needed.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of forklift operations, including daily logs, inspection reports, and incident reports.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, warehouse staff, and other departments to coordinate tasks and address any issues.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA, OSHA-compliant) with Level 3 classification.
