About the role At Chime, managing risk is one of the key competencies that set us apart from our peers. Our goal is to keep member accounts safe, provide them uninterrupted access to their money, and minimize risk exposure all while maintaining best-in-class fraud loss metrics. As a Senior Analyst, Fraud Investigations at Chime, you'll identify, investigate, and analyze suspicious fraudulent activity to help develop, refine, and execute Chime's tactical risk strategies.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $82,620.00 and up to $144,000.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to - Identify criteria, validate data, and communicate awareness of trends to influence fraud strategy, model revisions, and rule efficacy to stakeholders and senior management.
- Understand current risk methodologies and conceptualize solutions
- Assist with support and mentoring of junior investigators as they uplevel their skillset
- Build trusting relationships across Operations and investigative teams, as well as external partner groups
- Scale fraud workflows to externally scaled service partners
- Own triage procedures and execution for escalated incidents
- Make recommendations on the optimization of risk policy, account actions, and processes to improve member experience
- Support ad-hoc projects as assigned
To thrive in this role, you have - 4+ years of Fintech or financial services experience
- 4+ years of experience with fraud prevention, fraud data analysis, investigations, or risk management sourcing and analyzing fraud trends
- 1+ years of daily use of SQL to build data-backed decisioning
- Experience presenting and persuading senior management of the best course of action
- Self-motivating drive and ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a transparent manner
- Refined judgment with the ability to manage susceptible and confidential information
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- A positive, team player mentality with strong collaborative qualities
- Experience navigating information in case management systems
- 1+ years in a dispute resolution or dispute fraud role preferred.
- Experience with business operations processes and vendor relationship management a plus, but not required
