We are seeking an energetic and self-governed Freight Broker/Freight Forwarder to manage and facilitate the movement of freight. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong organizational skills and a passion for building relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Brokerage & Forwarding: Manage and coordinate shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and partners.
- Market Analysis: Assess market conditions, identify trends, and adjust strategies to optimize freight solutions.
- Documentation: Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including contracts, invoices, and shipping instructions.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or disruptions in the shipping process with efficiency and professionalism.
- Compliance: Ensure all freight operations comply with industry regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Freight Broker, Freight Forwarder, or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and transportation regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in freight management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A motivated and proactive attitude with a strong sense of ownership.
