Your Opportunity
Are you passionate about creating intuitive and visually appealing web experiences? Do you have a knack for blending design aesthetics with technical functionality? If so, we're looking for a talented Front-End Developer/Web UX Designer to join our team.
In this role, you will oversee designing and developing user-friendly interfaces for both internal web applications and external applications like the stantec.com website. You will work closely with multiple teams to craft responsive and interactive web pages, optimizing them for speed, scalability, and a seamless user experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the design and development teams to create user-friendly interfaces for web applications.
- Translate design wireframes and mockups into responsive and interactive web pages.
- Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Develop and maintain a unified design system for Marketing and Communication web apps.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to continuously improve user experience.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in front-end development and UX design.
Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials - Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of CSS pre-processors such as LESS and SASS.
- Familiarity with CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, Foundation, or Tailwind CSS.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, jQuery, or Vue.js.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first approach.
- Familiarity with UI/UX design tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Bonus Skills: - Knowledge of back-end development technologies (e.g., .NET, Python, PHP).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of SEO principles and optimization techniques.
- Graphic design skills for creating visual assets.
- Experience designing and developing marketing emails.
- Knowledge of Content Management Systems, such as Adobe AEM, Unily, or Wordpress.
Education and Experience: - Post-secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science, Web Design, UX/UI Design, or an equivalent level of experience.
- At least 1-3 years of experience in front-end development, web design, or UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects.

Salary Range(s): - $32.05 - $46.41 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in PEI
- Lower Mainland $37.74 / Other BC Areas $35.59 - Lower Mainland $54.67/ Other BC Areas $51.59 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby)
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
