*Overview* We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with the ability to work on a variety of vehicles and equipment. This role requires a keen attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The role would primarily be working in Montezuma Iowa on a regular work schedule but also able to travel for storm work when the company goes on storm work. *Responsibilities* * Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various automotive vehicles and equipment. * Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. * Assemble and disassemble components as needed for repairs. * Utilize hand tools and welding equipment to complete repairs effectively. * Operate forklifts and cranes safely while moving parts and vehicles within the shop. * Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used. * Collaborate with other service technicians to ensure high-quality service delivery. * Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment. *Skills* * Proficiency in automotive repair techniques, including soldering and suspension work. * Experience with Boom and Digger-Derrick trucks is a plus. * Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot various issues. * Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction. * A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the automotive field.
