About the Role:

Four Seasons Hotel New Orleans is seeking candidates for our open Hotel Assistant Manager position . The Hotel Assistant Manager oversees the Front Office operations and acts as the manager on duty in the hotel when senior managers are not available.

What you Will do:
  • Managing Front Office and Guest Services staff
  • Interviewing, training and scheduling staff, as well as conducting performance evaluations when needed
  • Coordinating arrivals, departures and billing requirements with Sales and Catering Department
  • Blocking rooms for arrivals and ensuring any discrepancies are resolved. Review daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of special attention guests, return guests, and groups.
  • Monitoring and assessing revenue opportunities for the hotel, maximizing red date conversion and keeping team on track to meet upsell goals.
  • Establishing training and accountability within the team to achieve high results above benchmarks.
  • Assuring that all financial and credit procedures are followed. Following up on credit problems with Front Office/Front Desk Manager or Credit Manager. Reviewing all pay-outs, rebates, petty cash disbursements and direct billings.
  • Checking cashiers' work at end of shift to ensure all transactions are reconciled with proper approvals and endorsements.
  • Answering guest calls and direct them appropriately in the absence of a Hotel Communications Agent.
