Thank you to those who reached out as single applicants but we are seeking a couple for this position. Our request: Seeking a mature couple to live in our separate furnished cottage and do a few hours of light duties a week and stay in the nearby main house with our pets when we travel. This arrangement works best for a couple so there is backup when we travel. Retired people or work from home couple is preferable. Duties include retrieving mail, garbage and recycling, some regular housekeeping chores and assisting with general outdoor tasks, including riding mower duties every few weeks and some general mechanical experience. We ask for approximately 4 to 6 hours per week from each person. Sitter will stay in the main house with our 3 spoiled cats when we travel. The main house, cottage and grounds are on a 20 acre lakeside property. This schedule leaves time for sitters to do full or part time outside work. Our current sitters are leaving after 6 years to be with grandchildren in another state. This position is unpaid but includes a two bed/ 1 bath cottage, fully furnished with all utilities and use of pool included. We live in a lovely, private community 25 minutes from down Atlanta and five minutes from our local village. No children. No pets. No overnight guests for more than 2 nights in a given month.
