Midland is currently seeking an Industrial Electrical Project Estimator. This individual will prepare detailed estimates for the industrial electrical division based on project drawings and specifications. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate and meet with prospective clients on-site to determine needs, as well as establishing, developing, and maintaining a positive business and client relationship while representing the company in a professional manner.
• Perform pre-proposal duties (on-site measurements, drawings/designs)
• Develop an accurate proposal based on material, equipment, and labor costs.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, vendors and customers to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
• Prepare estimates with current software in accordance with company standards.
• Oversee and review project plans, requirements, and specifications.
• Demonstrate teamwork ability to collaborate with multiple departments on projects.
• Coordinate project documentation and logistics from design through fabrication and project installation.
• Maintain regular contact with the finance division to ensure financial health of projects.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national regulations, building codes, and safety precautions.
• Perform accurate and thorough take-offs.
• Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & RELATED EXPERIENCE

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• A current electrical journeyman licensure is required.
• A minimum of two years of Project Management/Estimating experience in industrial electrical services is required.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to be covered under the company's automobile insurance are required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Extensive knowledge of engineered drawings, bid specifications, construction take-offs, project scheduling, bids, change orders, and contracts.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and industry regulations and guidelines.
• Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
• Strong industrial and commercial electrical skills.
• Proven supervisory and leadership skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees, customers, and vendors.
• Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office, Procore, and project scheduling software.
• The ability to maintain great attention to detail, accuracy, and organization while maintaining quality standards and managing tasks of competing priorities.
• The ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure, adjust to changing situations, and meet deadlines.
• The ability to operate company vehicles and trailers safely and efficiently.
