About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Injection Molding Helper / Machine Operator Assistant to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will support Injection Molding Machine Operators and Technicians to ensure smooth production processes, high-quality output, and a safe, clean work environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow within a manufacturing career — no prior plastics experience required, training is provided.
Responsibilities
Assist operators by monitoring machines, removing finished parts, and ensuring proper operation.
Perform secondary tasks such as trimming, degating, inspecting, and basic assembly.
Load raw materials into hoppers and help with mold changes/setups under supervision.
Inspect molded parts for defects and use basic measuring tools to ensure quality.
Move finished products to staging or packaging areas and record accurate part counts.
Maintain cleanliness and organization around machines, follow all safety procedures, and use PPE.
Support preventive maintenance and machine cleaning as needed.
Collaborate with operators, supervisors, and team members to keep production running smoothly.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Previous manufacturing or production experience is a plus (plastics experience a bonus).
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot visual defects.
Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to work in a noisy, fast-paced, and non-climate-controlled environment.
