Laboratory Assistant – Research Vivarium Husbandry (Temporary)

Short-term assignment | Monday - Friday | $20-$21 per hour

This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in research vivarium environments with a focus on animal care and facility management.

Responsibilities :

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of the animal facility and related equipment.

• Operate and manage cage washing systems, ensuring proper cleaning of animal cages and equipment.

• Maintain both "clean" and "dirty" sides of the cage wash area to ensure a sanitary environment.

• Follow established procedures to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

• Assist with general facility upkeep and maintain cleanliness of all areas.

Requirements:

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.

• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety.

• Comfortable working in an environment with animals and biohazardous materials.
