Land Surveyor (PLS/LSIT) - Rapid City, SD AE2S seeks a motivated and driven team member to join our Land Survey team. The successful candidate will work on a survey crew to provide surveying services in support of internal projects and directly for clients with potential for advancement to crew chief.
Responsibilities - Conduct field surveys for boundaries, topography, GIS data collection, geodetic control, etc.
- Provide construction staking for site layout, structures, grading, paving, roadways, drainage features, etc.
- Prepare plats, maps, and record drawings
- Assemble field data, perform survey calculations, and prepare legal descriptions
Qualifications
Qualifications - Degree in surveying or a related field
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
- Basic knowledge of survey equipment such as GPS, Total Station, and Automatic level
- Knowledgeable in the effective practices, methods, and techniques of land surveying
- Knowledge of state-specific standards of practice in Land Surveying
- Valid Driver's License
- PLS or LSIT certified or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Willingness to travel
