Responsibilities:
- Perform routine compliance surveillance reviews to monitor trading activity.
- Maintain and update a compliance checklist, including reporting to management.
- Assist with the maintenance and expansion of the Firm’s Written Supervisory Procedures (WSPs).
- Assist with the preparation and execution of the Firm’s regulatory inquiries and exams.
- Review trading technology contracts for functional compliance with applicable CFTC and exchange regulations.
- Review exchange regulatory bulletins and communicate to management significant updates.
- Help coordinate Q&A related efforts of policies and procedures as needed to ensure standards are followed
- Assist with the management and maintenance of the Firm’s market data reporting. Who does this and do you care?
- Support the Firm’s Continuing Education Compliance Workshops.
- Maintain a data base of Firm and employee regulatory registrations and memberships and Firm state registrations.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree with an emphasis on economics, finance or banking.
- Successful completion of at least one full year of law school towards a J.D. in Business Law.
- Background and basic understanding of US capital markets and its regulation preferred. Strong interest in understanding financial derivatives and their role in securities and commodities markets.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to work and succeed independently as well as in a team environment.
- Outstanding organizational skills and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
