About Us:

Lamex Agrifoods is a division of Lamex Foods, specializing in the growing, processing, importing/exporting of frozen fruit, vegetables, juices, and purees.

We are currently seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team and oversee the import of our frozen goods into the United States.

Summary of Position:

As our Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our logistics operations, including coordinating with suppliers, arranging transportation and shipping, managing inventory, and ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met. You will work closely with our sales and purchasing teams to ensure that our supply chain is optimized and that we are able to meet the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products
• Arrange transportation and shipping of goods
• Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply and minimize financial loss
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including customs and FDA regulations
• Communicate with sales and purchasing teams to optimize supply chain efficiency
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery
• Resolve any logistics-related issues or problems that arise
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, transportation providers, and other partners

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in the food industry
• Knowledge of customs and FDA regulations for importing frozen food products into the United States
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software systems
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience working with international suppliers and transportation providers
