Medical Assistant / Receptionist – Day Shift

Location: Pomona Valley Health Centers – Chino Hills Crossroads Urgent Care

Start Date: August 12, 2025

Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 8:30 AM–5:30 PM

Dress Code: Black scrubs, natural hair color, no visible tattoos

COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required

Job Summary:

Seeking a Medical Assistant with front desk experience to support a family medicine provider in a busy outpatient urgent care clinic. This role involves both clinical and administrative duties and requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Room patients and take vital signs
• Assist with physicals, well-child exams, wound care, and injections
• Set up for minor procedures and provide patient education
• Perform EMR documentation, phone triage, and patient messaging
• Schedule appointments and assist with front desk coverage
• Communicate test results and follow-up instructions to patients

Requirements:

• 6 months to 1 year of Medical Assistant and receptionist experience
• Medical Assistant Certification and BLS required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience with EMR systems (electronic medical records)
• Basic computer and phone skills
• Experience working with both pediatric and adult patients
