GMi Companies is looking for a driven New Construction Business Development Manager to grow relationships and drive specifications with architects, contractors, developers, and other key decision-makers in the construction industry.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on building partnerships, identifying new project opportunities, and bringing solutions from spec to install. You’ll be the face of GMi in the construction market—promoting our products, visiting jobsites, and ensuring we’re always delivering value beyond price.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and manage relationships with architects, contractors, and developers
  • Secure product specifications during the design and planning phases
  • Lead project negotiations and deliver solutions tailored to client needs
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
  • Stay on top of construction market trends and opportunities

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience selling into the construction market (architectural products/building materials preferred)
  • Strong background working with architects, general contractors, and developers
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills

A proactive, customer-focused mindset with strong business acumen

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience selling into the construction market, preferably with architectural products or building materials.
  • Prior experience working with architectural firms, general contractors, and developers a must.
