Required Skills :

• Apply a multisensory, diagnostic, prescriptive approach to customized 1:1 instruction.
• Create focused, data-informed lesson plans specific to each individual student’s needs.
• Collect data, monitor progress, and write narrative reports.
• Build rapport with K-8 students.

General Qualifications :

• Candidates must have demonstrated experience using the Orton-Gillingham approach.
• Candidates must have Associate level Orton-Gillingham training or similar and a master’s degree in education or special education.
• Experience working 1:1 with K-8 students is highly preferred.

Additional Qualifications :

• A solid understanding of language-based learning disabilities.
• Experience interpreting neuropsychological reports and IEPs.
• Professional and personable demeanor and comfort interacting with parents/caregivers.
• Computer literacy/technological savvy.

Time Commitment

• Mon.-Thurs., 1:30-6:30pm; up to fifteen 50-minute tutoring sessions per week plus planning time.

Location :

• Although we are currently delivering some services virtually, we are seeking local applicants only as this position will primarily be in-house at our Needham location.

Perks :
