POSITION: Production Assistant (entry-level, part-time)
CLASSIFICATION : Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Production & Fulfillment Manager
Position Summary Reporting to the Production & Fulfillment Manager, the Production Assistant will support Equator's operations by assisting in various production tasks. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to learn and grow within the company. As a Production Assistant, you will have the opportunity to shadow and learn from experienced Production Associates Levels I and II, as well as Production Leads, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a supportive team environment. This part-time role requires possible availability on holidays and weekends as needed.
Key Responsibilities - Work as part of a fast-paced team to fulfill wholesale and retail orders accurately and efficiently.
- Learn to use and successfully operate the weigh and fill machines, band sealers, scales, grinders, label applicators, and label printers.
- Restocking inventory.
- Communicate with team members on a regular basis to ensure accurate fulfillment and production.
- Cleaning & organization of work areas and basic equipment maintenance.
- Show initiative, present a positive & professional attitude, be adaptable, and a willingness to learn and take direction.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Abilities - Familiarity with fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and general warehouse work
- Coffee knowledge is a plus

This role is dynamic and involves prolonged periods of standing (or being on one's feet for up to 8 hours), walking, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, and crouching throughout the shift. Additionally, employees will be required to lift products and packaging overhead and may frequently handle items weighing between 25 and 70 pounds. Essential vision capabilities for this role encompass close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Furthermore, adept finger and wrist dexterity are essential for successful performance in this position.
