Job Description

Metro Psychiatry / Optimum TMS & Wellness Suites is seeking a compassionate and dynamic Psychiatrist to join our growing team in Columbus, OH. This is a unique opportunity to enhance your practice by focusing on innovative and evidence-based treatments for mental health conditions. You will work closely with Nurse Practitioners (NPs), ensuring a team-based approach to patient care. *About the Role: *As a key member of our clinical team, you will have the opportunity to provide care for patients undergoing esketamine and TMS therapy. You will collaborate with other psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and mental health professionals to develop personalized treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and ensure the highest standards of care.

*Responsibilities:*

*Patient Care & Treatment Administration:*

Oversee the administration of esketamine and TMS, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Monitor patient progress and side effects, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

Conduct initial and follow-up assessments, providing ongoing support and adjustments to care plans.

Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure holistic and integrated care.

*Education & Support:*

Educate patients on their mental health condition, treatment options, and the benefits and risks associated with esketamine and TMS.

Offer psychoeducation and coping strategies to empower patients in managing their mental health.

Support families and caregivers by explaining the treatment plan and encouraging active involvement in the patient's recovery.

*Collaboration & Teamwork:*

Work closely with nurse practitioners and other healthcare providers to deliver optimal care.

Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on patient-centered care.

Provide clinical supervision to staff involved in the administration of interventional treatments.

*Quality Improvement & Professional Development:*

Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care outcomes.

Stay informed about the latest developments in interventional psychiatry through continuing education and research.

*Qualifications:*

Board-certified Psychiatrist (MD or DO) with active licensure in the state of Ohio.

Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program.

Familiarity with interventional psychiatric treatments such as esketamine and TMS is preferred.

Strong clinical skills in diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient care.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Compassionate, patient-focused approach to mental health care.

Proficient in the use of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

*Training:*

Comprehensive training and certification in esketamine and TMS will be provided.
