FlatRate Moving is currently seeking an experienced QuickBooks Bookkeeper with a strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel to become an integral part of our team! FlatRate’s Headquarters office is located in the South of Bronx (One stop from Manhattan on the 6 train).

Key Tasks and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
• Compute and record numerical data
• Check the accuracy of business transactions
• Perform data entry and administrative duties
• Review, enter and process invoices
• Match purchase orders with invoices
• Process daily charges of storage and moving customers
• Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information
• Perform daily cash management transactions in QuickBooks
• Maintain petty cash accounts and log all outgoing disbursements
• Process accounts receivable
• Maintain orderly accounting filing system
• Comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements
• Protect organizations’ value by keeping information confidential

Requirements:

• Proven Bookkeeping experience
• 3 years’ experience in accounting, finance or other related fields
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & QuickBooks
• Experience in Accounts Receivable
• Experience in payroll processing is a plus
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Ability to multi task and work well under pressure
• Deadline and detail-oriented
