The Registered Nurse (RN), Trauma PI Coordinator is a part-time position that involves coordinating trauma performance improvement efforts to ensure optimal patient care and monitoring outcomes at a Level 1 trauma center. This role requires critical thinking and attention to detail, as well as collaboration with the full-time performance improvement coordinator. The nursing professional will leverage their skills and technology to enhance patient well-being and contribute to making communities healthier.

Department/Unit Summary
Conemaugh Memorial is a Level 1 trauma center that is accredited by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation. Conemaugh sees about 1800 trauma patients a year varying in injury severity. This position will work closely with our full-time performance improvement coordinator in efforts to ensure the best possible care is being provided to our patients and monitoring outcomes for performance improvement. Attention to detail and critical thinking are key components of this role.

Qualifications: Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associates or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
· Completion of the Basic Trauma Nurse Course
· Bachelor’s degree required within 7 years
· Minimum of three years in Trauma Nursing
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel
· Minimum of 3 years Case Management experience preferred
· Minimum of 2 years of Critical Care experience preferred
· CEN, CCRN or ANA preferred
