The Registered Nurse Shift Supervisor is part of the departmental leadership team that provides clinical supervision on a shift basis including: coordination and assignment of patient care; functions as a unit patient flow coordinator, facilitating admissions, discharges and transfers; The Registered Nurse Shift Supervisor coordinates unit staffing for next shift with the Director/Clinical Manager, Coordinator and/or House Officer; serves as a clinical and leadership resource and role model for the staff; provides supervisory input into department staff evaluations and performance reviews. The Registered Nurse Shift Supervisor completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Masters degree)
Required: 1 year RN experience.
CertificationsRequired: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. CPR
