Job Description

Mail Clerk Job Summary
Our company is seeking a Mail Clerk to join our mailroom staff. In this position, your first priority is shipping and receiving mail. When mail comes in, you are responsible for scanning, labeling, and sorting it. You then use a hand cart to deliver mail throughout the building. When we receive larger shipments, you may be responsible for docking a truck and using a pallet jack to unload it. We receive a high volume of shipments, so you need to be skilled with data entry.
Mail Clerk Duties And Responsibilities
Ship and receive letters and packages
Sort all incoming mail
Deliver mail to the appropriate employees throughout the building
Unload large shipments from trucks
Label outgoing mail for shipment
Mail Clerk Requirements And Qualifications
High school diploma or GED certificate
Physical stamina
Strong organizational and communication skills
Experience with a pallet jack
