Job Title: Safety Coordinator

Location: Edison, NJ

Industry: Construction (Electrical Focus)

Pay: $65,000 – $80,000 annually

Job Description:

We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to support safety operations and administrative functions across various project sites. This role will work closely with field teams to ensure compliance with OSHA standards, maintain documentation, and help promote a safe and efficient workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support site safety by reviewing and maintaining logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
• Conduct and record toolbox talks, ensuring all employees are up to date on training and safety protocols.
• Assist with workplace inspections, safety audits, and investigations into accidents or near misses.
• Track and manage safety credentials, reports, and required certifications.
• Partner with site leadership to enforce safety standards and hold employees accountable.
• Help coordinate the procurement of safety supplies and equipment for project sites.
• Travel to various job locations to monitor and support on-site safety practices.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction safety, preferably within the electrical or commercial construction field.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards, site inspections, and incident investigations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver clear feedback at all levels.
• OSHA 10 certification required (or ability to complete shortly after hire).
• Strong organizational skills for tracking reports and documentation.

Additional Details:

• Schedule: 6:30am – 2:30pm or 7:30am – 3:30pm (40 hours/week)
• Travel: Required between various job sites across New Jersey
• Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
