The Role: As our first full-time Recruiter, you won't just be filling jobsyou'll play a pivotal role in our talent strategy from day one. You'll work directly with the leadership team to build and execute a recruiting engine that attracts top-tier talent, shapes our employer brand, and helps define our culture as we scale.

This is a high-impact, high-ownership role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast and wants to help shape the future of a company from day one.

What You'll Do: As a Senior Recruiter at Odyssey you'll drive our focus of bringing mission-driven talent into the organization. As the first member of the talent team, you'll partner closely with leadership to define hiring strategies, build scalable processes, and own the end-to-end recruitment of our hires. Beyond filling roles, this person sets the tone for company culture and establishes the employer brand in a competitive market. It's a hands-on, strategic role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and wants to help shape Odyssey as we rapidly grow.

  1. Own full-cycle recruiting across Odyssey
  2. Help build and refine our hiring processes, from sourcing to offer stage
  3. Develop creative sourcing strategies and proactively build talent pipelines
  4. Partner closely with hiring managers to understand their needs and create compelling job descriptions
  5. Establish metrics and dashboards to track hiring progress and efficiency
  6. Experiment with tools, channels, and processes that help us move faster and hire better
  7. Help lay the cultural groundwork for how we build values-aligned teams

About You:

  • 6+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, with experience in early-stage startups
  • Proven success hiring for technical and business roles
  • A builder's mindsetyou're not afraid to roll up your sleeves, iterate quickly, and own the outcome
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder
  • Passionate about candidate experience
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Experience with modern recruitment tools

Additional Details:

  • This role is onsite in NYC, out of our Tribeca office.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • We believe that everyone at Odyssey should be compensated fairly. We set our salary bands based on compensation data from hundreds of companies at our stage. The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $180,000 depending on experience, interview performance and location.
