JOB DESCRIPTION
As a digital content writer at Abstrakt Marketing Group, you will have a direct impact on your clients' growth and success by writing professional, SEO-rich content. Reporting directly to the SEO content team lead and working alongside a team of A-Players, you will write B2B content for web pages, blogs, social media, and more to help your clients grow their business. The goal of the position is to create and promote content that drives leads for your clients by distilling complex industry information into readable, engaging content.
The ideal digital content writer is a creative thinker with the ability to manage multiple processes, responsibilities, and clients at once. They know how to research information and turn it into helpful content that informs and excites readers about a product, a service, or an industry.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write monthly B2B content for client web pages, social media, and blogs
- Meet specified word counts while following The Abstrakt Style Guide, adhering to our quality assurance standards, and applying SEO best practices
- Upload client content to WordPress and Sendible each month
- Communicate closely with the copywriting team lead, account managers, and designers to adhere to project timelines and ensure deadlines are met while meeting clients goals and vision
- Conduct research to find new information, formulate new ideas, support writing, and maintain a clear and consistent brand voice for your clients
- Consult with clients on monthly calls to gather relevant information, discuss content strategy, and fine-tune messaging
- Create original concepts wile communicating with clients to meet with expectations
- Use google docs and CRM tools to manage daily assignments and track client content
- Revise content based on client and internal feedback
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, marketing, or a related field from a four-year college or university
- Ability to work independently, as well as with a team to meet deadlines
- Excellent writing skills with the drive to continually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that connects with audiences and drives action
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client communication and client-related industry trends
- Demonstrate emotional intelligence and exhibit professional demeanor and appearance
- 1+ year of agency, writing, or marketing experience, including writing for the web, and/or writing client marketing materials is PREFERRED
- Experience with web mark-up language, search engine optimization, and/or content strategy is PREFERRED
- Experience with using Salesforce, SEMrush, WordPress, and/or Sendible is PREFERRED
